On the Portuguese-language website Passa Palavra (from which I have translated several excellent articles) I recently read an article about British trade unions whose title caught my attention : "Is the pro-Israel lobby making headway in the unions ?"
Entirely written in the conditional tense (at least in the part devoted to accusations of financing British trade unionists by the "pro-Israel lobby"), this article reproduced, in Portuguese, "information" from a video broadcast in English by a certain Damien Willey. This member of the Unite union is active on YouTube (114,000 subscribers) under the name Kernow Damo, and also on the SocialistTelly podcast channel (3,410 subscribers, 308 videos purporting to broadcast "news, analysis and commentary from the pro-working class left"). The English-language video carried a much clearer antisemitic headline than the Portuguese article : "Will the pro-Israel lobby attack your rights at work ?"
The introductory text below this YouTube video clearly expressed his antisemitic conspiracy, theory since, according to Willey, the "Israeli lobby" had financed not only Starmer’s campaign to be elected to the Labour leadership, but also that of several leaders in various trade unions. And Willey’s 360 YouTube fans (on May 19, 2025) loudly endorse his antisemitic remarks, as we shall see below...
While the article in Portuguese began with a description of all the international trade union actions justified to block the shipment of arms to the State of Israel, the rest of the text repeated in the conditional the words of the aforementioned British agitator, but with slightly more cautious formulas than its source :
"In the UK, it seems that the pro-Israel lobby has also begun to target union policies and union leaders, in addition to state policies and state politicians and managers. (...) Keir Starmer, the current Prime Minister, received £50,000 from a pro-Israel lobbyist during his campaign to become leader of the Labour Party. (...) In April 2025, Matt Wrack’s election as General Secretary of the UK’s largest teachers’ union, NASUWT, was challenged in court. (...) the pro-Israel lobby could be at work in this case : paying, for example, the costs of the trial. The law firm Mishcon de Reya has reportedly been hired for this case. (....) This would seem to be a sign that international workers’ solidarity is a threat to colonial barbarism and the power of capital. It would also be a sign that union bureaucracies would be treated by the lobby like the managers they are, equivalent to professional politicians. They can therefore be bought."
In Portuguese, the Passa Palavra article refers to articles with very revealing titles : "How Israel finances British parliamentary staff" and "Jewish members of a moderate teachers’ union worry about the appointment of a far-left figure to head the union".
The first text cites as its source an article written by left-wing Labour Jews, using an old technique employed by the fascist Jean-Marie Le Pen whenever he was taken to court for antisemitic remarks : he would bring in a Jewish witness to attest to his lack of hatred against Jews.
The second article uses a classic antisemitic device : explaining that some Jews are hostile to the extreme left (what a scoop !).... As if only people of Jewish faith or culture were "moderates" (in other words, reactionaries) - this assertion is the exact opposite of the "Judeo-Bolshevism" thesis, according to which the opponents of the far right (and of the Nation, she adds, to recruit a large audience) are Jews.
What does this Luso-British convergence tell us about the fantasies of those who feel an orgasm every time they denounce the war crimes and crimes against humanity of the Israeli state, crimes which will doubtless one day be unanimously classified under the legal category of genocide, at the rate of destruction, mass slaughter and the use of the weapon of famine by the Israeli government ?
Well, just read the antisemitic comments of the English socialist blogger’s left-wing fans, which the Portuguese-language site Passa Palavra pretends to ignore, even though these hundreds of comments should have alerted it.
• "We have been occupied by a foreign country. The British lobby has seen how it was done in the US and will try to do it in the UK."
• "In the United States, to get a job or a government contract, you have to sign an oath to Israel, not to the United States."
• "Zionists who complain about antisemitism are not Semites. Netanyahu was born to Benzion Mileikowsky, a squatter from Poland, and Tzila Segal, of Lithuanian descent. Ben Gurion is Polish, Golda Meir is Ukrainian, Moshe Dayan is Ukrainian, Shimon Peres and Menachem Begin are Belarusian, Theodore Herzl is from Pest, Hungary. They call themselves Jews, but have no Semitic lineage. They are descendants of the Khazars, who converted en masse to Judaism".

• "To find out who governs you, find out who you have no right to criticise. If you believe the quote above, you’ll understand that it can’t be Muslims."
• "Anti-Semitism = against Shem. Shem is the ’father of many peoples’. This includes Palestinians, Jordanians, modern Syria, Jews and Arabs."
• "(...) the unions are controlled by genocidists".
Etc, etc, etc.
In such a context, what’s the point of the denunciations of the "pro-Israeli lobby" voiced by individuals and groups who claim to be "socialist", "autonomous" or "libertarian", and who, what’s more, never stop glossing over the worrying ideological convergences between ecologist, identitarian and feminist currents, on the one hand, and the far right and new forms of modern fascism, on the other ?
These demagogic denunciations (all states, starting with the British and Brazilian states, have spies and "fellow travellers" who are more or less stipendiaries, which is forgotten by these "radical" activists who hardly care about the agents of influence of their own states) only serve to nourish and develop hatred of Jews in the name of an anti-Zionism as paranoid as anti-Muslim racism...

P.S. It is interesting to note that the "information" contained in these two "alternative" media comes from an NGO of journalists whose site is https://www.declassifieduk.org/about-us/. And they have been picked up by a bilingual Arabic and French site (kapitalis.com) ; as well as by the English-language media newarab.com financed by a Qatari company, the Fadaat Media Group.
And we’ll confront them with this dispatch published by the Palestinian agency Wafa : "September 12, 2024, WAFA-at its annual meeting in the southern British city of Brighton, the British Trades Union Congress called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, immediate recognition of the State of Palestine and the imposition of a total arms embargo, in addition to sanctions against Israel committing genocide."
But you won’t find this information among "socialist", "libertarian" or "autonomous" conspiracists ....
